UTAH — Passing along the history and stories of your family to your kids is important, especially in genealogy-loving Utah.

However, when comedian Bryan Callen tried to share his Utah roots with his children in a quirky, definitely "dad" sort of way in this video, his antics were not well-received.

First comes, "Dad, we don't care!"

Followed by Callen's dramatic and mock-offended, "But you have taken on my genes!"

I love his children's reply, "No we haven't! We have Viking blood! And we have Italian blood through grandma!" It seems they're quite familiar with their lineage, just not in the way Callen was hoping. His kids want to discuss grandma-centric Italian history, and certainly not their Dad's mountain state shenanigans.

Their disapproval is sealed with a "DAD! We're listening to a good song!" and the scandalized realization that he's filming. Callen breaks into a huge smile, and it's clear his family's having a wonderful drive.

Utah may have forged Callen, but it's not forging his children.
