DOGGO LAND — Life has taught me a few things over the last few decades.

It's taught me that mixing chili dogs and amusement parks are a huge mistake. It's taught me that saying, "I'm good with either, really," is the wrong thing to say when a girl you've been out with a few times asks if we should move the relationship forward or call it. It's also taught me that life is hard, and it's not always my fault (but it usually is).

This adorable doggo named Hazel just wants to wet her whistle, but it's proving a much more difficult task than it should be. Twitter user @katieloubarr posted this video of Hazel trying to use this mind-torture device to get a drink of water.

Basically, Hazel steps on a lever that releases water and shoots it into the air. It's a drinking fountain really, but poor Hazel has yet to figure out you need to keep your paw on the lever to get a continuous stream. Her frustration is palpable and, let's be honest, it's pretty comical as well.

While I want to shake my head and say, "Dogs just aren't that smart," I have to admit something that I'm not proud of: I watched the video about three times thinking this device was made to just drive dogs insane because there is no way to win. Then my advanced brain finally decided to kick in and remind myself to use some critical thinking. That's when I realized the water would keep coming if you left pressure on the lever.

Yes, I'm a full-grown man with a job and a family. I'm in charge of people. Kids. Pray for them, if you would. Those poor children have their work cut out for them, and they will soon learn what I already have: Life is tough, especially when you have me for a dad.
