THE LONELY SKIES — Jet setting around the globe with your own personal plane and wait staff sounds pretty incredible, but way too expensive. Who has millions of dollars laying around to buy a private jet, and then millions more to keep it running and pay a staff and a pilot? Not me.
I mean writing "Have You Seen This?" articles on the side for KSL.com pays well, but not that well. I'm sure I could afford a private Mattel jet that came from a second-hand store, but an actual private jet? I don't think so.
Last week @Delta gave me my own private jet...kind of. pic.twitter.com/p14OGLw1jv

Vincent Peone figured out a way to get the private jet experience without the private jet price tag. All it takes is a standard ticket on a Delta flight, amazing timing and a bit of luck.
Peone posted this vid on Twitter of him boarding a Delta flight to Salt Lake City, and he is the only passenger. He gets the whole experience on video. Getting called to board the plane, walking the jetway with an employee, watching people load the plane with sandbags to help with weight, meeting the pilots, and even getting personalized flight instructions. Pretty swanky stuff if you ask me.
Thanks, Peone. Now we know us normal folk can get the private jet experience without the private jet price tag; however, the odds of winning the lottery and buying your own jet may be better than getting on a flight without one other passenger.
