WINTER DOWN UNDER — If you’re like me, you’re probably reading this somewhere air-conditioned, or in the shade, as you continue to enjoy the warmth of summer; thus, winter is probably the last thing on your mind.

That’s fair. Winter isn’t for everyone. Skiing is fun. The holidays are fun. Shoveling snow from the driveway just isn’t as fun.

Now comes the sad — or exciting — reality that winter is only four months away. Of course, it’s still happening if you’re reading this from the Southern Hemisphere. And apparently, it snowed heavily in the southeastern portion of Australia over the weekend. News.com.au referred to this as a “polar blast.”

So, what’s the snow animal dashing through the snow in Australia? You probably guessed it (or read the headline): the kangaroo. In this video Australian resident Stephen Grenfell shot, you can see a mob of kangaroos hopping around the winter wonderland.

While some viewers who responded to and shared the video seem to have forgotten Australia does have winter now, others seemed to enjoy the beautiful winter scene. As Grenfell put it: It’s not something you see every day in Australia.
