THE BARNYARD — The circle of life rules us all, including the circle of 15-minutes of viral video fame.
One man found his time in the internet sun recently with a unique video that was meant to only be a source of entertainment for his friends.
Travis Kinley from Sumter, South Carolina, told WLTX19 that he went into his barnyard that day with a special request from friends — sing “The Circle of Life” from Disney’s “The Lion King” while surrounded by his pet animals.
Kinley obliged but was not expecting that Nathan, his 3-year-old donkey, would join in with vim, vigor and enthusiasm.
In the video, you’ll hear Nathan start braying quickly after Kinely starts singing, and they both continue with oomph until Kinley breaks down with laughter. Neither donkey nor man are great … singers, but it’s still a perfect pairing with hilarious results.
Kinley said that before this video, he had never sung with Nathan before, so this spontaneous duet was a total surprise. But he also described Nathan as a “playful” and “thinking animal,” so maybe Kinley shouldn’t have been surprised after all.
If you don't enjoy this video, then you're in good company with one of Kinley's horses, who didn't appreciate the performance at all.
