THE RESTAURANT — When we’re kids, we’ll pretty much try anything once. Whether it’s jumping from the couch to the floor, throwing your dad’s watch around the living room, or running around … for no reason whatsoever.
Little ones, like toddlers, obviously are discovering the world. One area where toddlers discover new things is with food. And, as we know, toddlers are fun, cute little rebels who take risks, even if mom and dad have told them “no.”
A boy in England is a risk-taking little dude who won’t stop until he’s accomplished his goal. And this case, it involves eating a lemon.
In this video, we see toddler Tommy at a restaurant with a lemon wedge in hand. How did he get the lemon wedge? Who knows. But Tommy has made it his mission to eat that lemon — no matter how painfully sour it tastes.
“Tommy decided he wanted the lemon and just kept eating,” the video’s description said. “He ate the lot.”
After the first bite, Tommy shakes his head in disgust. But that won’t stop him. Tommy takes another bite and, again, the bitterness hits our little hero. He goes for it again.
Bitter again!
But Tommy is a fighter, even avoiding the seeds as he chews on. A girl sitting by him can be heard saying, “Give up. He won’t give up!”
Soon after, a woman, possibly Mom, can be heard saying “give up, Tommy.”
We don’t know if Tommy gave up or not, but I have a feeling it’s Tommy 1, lemon 0.
Here’s to you, Tommy! Despite knowing that what you were eating tasted weird, you weren’t going to let that stop you. Keep up the good fight against bitter food.
