PRESCHOOL — Ain’t it cute when a child tells you he or she has a little crush on another kid? Sure, they don’t truly understand what a crush is — let alone, love — but there’s something so adorable about kids thinking they know what it means.

There are also kids who have been taught a thing or two about what it means when a boy or girl likes you — and they don’t like that at all.

A 3-year-old Missouri girl decided to send a message to a boy who liked her: by pulling a wrestling move on him.

Kynlee McFetridge got in trouble in preschool. Apparently, a boy named Jack asked Kynlee if she’d marry him. Not liking the proposal at all, Kynlee decided to straighten out Jack by putting him in a headlock.

“What happened at school?” Kynlee’s mom, Kristen McFetridge, says in the video she recorded.

“I took a headlock down on Jack and took him down,” Kynlee says.

“Why? What did he say?” Kristen McFetridge replies.

“Because kids don’t get married, so that’s why I put headlock down on him,” Kynlee tells her mom.

“Did he say he wanted to marry you?” mom asks.

“Yeah. But kids don’t get married, so that’s why I put a headlock down on him. And that's why I took him down," Kynlee replies.

"I don't think you're supposed to do that," Kristen McFetridge tells her daughter.

"But that's the greatest thing ever," a straight-faced Kynlee tells her mom.

Wow! Kynlee is one tough kid!

So how did this 3-year-old learn how to headlock someone? By wrestling with her dad, Scott McFetridge. According to Fox 2 Missouri, Kynlee had open-heart surgery when she was 5 months old to correct heart defects. Once she was better, wrestling with her father became a way for Kynlee to have fun and gain strength.

“It’s not like I taught her (a headlock),” her father told ABC News. “I was just trying to get her stronger and coordinated, and I guess she figured out what I was doing and I didn’t really realize she learned it.”

He said that when the teacher told him about what happened, the teacher was laughing as she recounted Kynlee's headlock on poor Jack.

“I was trying to be a good dad and reprimand her, but it was pretty hilarious,” he told ABC about the first time he heard about Kynlee's headlock. “It was hard for me to stop laughing and put her in timeout, but we made it happen.”

He jokingly said he hopes his daughter remembers how to headlock when she’s a teenager.

“Hopefully, she can still do that in about 12 years,” he said.

Dad also said Kynlee and Jack are still friends. As for mom, she told Kynlee that headlocks are a big no-no.

“Let’s not put headlocks on boys, OK?” Mom tells Kynlee in the video.

“OK,” a smiling Kynlee said.

What a tough, smart little girl! Don’t be surprised if 20 years from now, you hear that Kynlee McFetridge is a WWE superstar.
