THE MUSICAL SKIES — If you've ever been sitting on an airplane mid-flight and thought, "Man, this is so boring. I wish I were listening to a live performance of Irish folk music right now," then I have just the video for you.

A group of students from St. Brendan's College in Killarney, Ireland, was traveling on a Ryanair flight earlier this week when things got a bit musical. According to Independent.ie, the students had their instruments with them on the flight so they decided to treat their fellow passengers to a lively show. Talk about excellent in-flight entertainment.

In a video of the performance, the students have gathered in the aisle of the plane and are singing, playing and even Irish dancing along to a rendition of what Wikipedia calls "one of Ireland's favorite ballads" — the song "Step it out Mary." And the passengers seem to be loving it.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

This definitely looks like a lot more fun than any flight I've been on, but I have to admit this also made me pretty nervous. I can't confirm whether or not the plane was in the air while this performance was going on, but the whole time I was watching the video I kept thinking, "Where are the flight attendants and how is this allowed?" But if you look closely, you can spot the flight attendants enjoying the performance as well.

I am just going to go ahead and say don't ever try this yourself because all it would take is a little turbulence for this sing-a-long to turn dangerous. But enjoy the video and maybe queue up some Irish folk hits on your playlist for the next time you're bored on an airplane.
