THE GLOBE — What if you could get a thousand people across the world to dance with you?
One guy tried it and turned it into this video, and I love it.
The concept of the video is simple, but I imagine it was difficult to execute. The man who created the video, Matt Bray, made up a simple dance routine to the song "Lean" by VHS Collection. He then traveled around the planet, asking people to join him for a minute or two of dancing. It's kind of like a flash mob, but in reverse.
What I love about this video is seeing all the many locations Bray traveled to and watching the expressions of all the people he dances with. While Bray remains excited throughout the whole thing, some of the people seem less so. I imagine it's pretty weird being approached by a stranger and getting asked to do a dance for a YouTube video. But plenty of the dancers seem happy, if also a little bewildered.

This is ingenuity at its best. Or at least at its most fun.To me, the simplicity of this video is what makes it so great. In the description of Bray's YouTube channel he wrote, "My name is Matt Bray and this channel is about living life to the fullest and having fun. I document myself having a blast with my friends, crossing things off of my bucket list."
Living life to the fullest doesn't have to involve high concept, dangerous or crazy ideas. Sometimes, it can just mean dancing with people. Or chatting with some strangers. Or getting to know someone's story and letting it impact your life in an unexpected way.
And even though this video is just some people dancing, it feels like the video is sharing a deeper message to enjoy the small moments when we have the chance. So watch it, let it put a smile on your face and maybe do a little more dancing in your everyday life.
