This is Lane Beattie of the Salt Lake Chamber with your Utah Business Report.

Utah has a strong tradition of support for the arts and choral music. Our early pioneers came in singing from across the nation and the world. It's on this heritage that the Salt Lake Choral Artists created their organization, mission, and vision for the future.

The Salt Lake Choral Artists is one of America's premier community choral organizations. Their mission is to expand lifelong enrichment opportunities for all ages and abilities through excellence in the choral arts. This group explores a broad spectrum of choral music from historical periods and cultures, thus improving the musical understanding and skills of participants and patrons.

The next program for Choral Artists' is the Summer Choral Institute, a series of singing activities, workshops, and concerts.

To continue this great work, the Salt Lake Choral Artists are raising funds for a permanent home in the historic 24th Ward Meetinghouse located off Capitol Hill at 700 North 200 West. Their goal to raise 500-thousand dollars will then be matched by a generous contribution from the Benjamin Foundation in order to reach the million dollar price tag.
