Rocky Mountain Power recently recognized Weber State University as the 2014 wattsmart Business Partner of the Year for their commitment to energy efficiency.

Since 2003, Weber State has taken advantage of Rocky Mountain Power's energy efficiency programs to help reduce the energy use of lighting, heating and cooling, and other equipment to lower costs and attain environmental goals.

Weber State's projects have achieved impressive results. The university has received approximately one million dollars in Rocky Mountain Power wattsmart Business incentives since 2003 to help offset efficiency upgrade costs. The improvements have reduced energy consumption by 30 percent, saving the school more than 10.8 million kilowatt-hours in electricity and 540-thousand dollars in energy costs annually.
