(KSL News) An attempted kidnapping took place tonight in West Valley.

A woman and her one-year-old son were getting out of their car at an Albertson's parking lot at 3555 W. 3500 South when a man and a woman asked for a ride. She told them she had to make a deposit.

The female suspect grabbed the boy and threatened to take him if the woman didn't give them money. The woman withdrew money from an ATM, then drove to a Wendy's, where the suspects got out, gave the child back to his mother and left.

Police are looking for a 60-to-65-year-old man, 6 feet tall with grey hair.

The female suspect is 40 to 45 years old, short and heavy-set. Her blond-tinted hair was in a pony tail and the skin on her left cheek is discolored.
