(KSL News) -- Provo police say a couple made a business out of stealing identities and cashing counterfeit checks.

Officers got a search warrant, and searched the couple's trailer in Sanpete County. They recovered printers, laptop computers and things bought with cash from stolen checks.

Det. Drew Hubbard, Provo Police Dept.: "We had hundreds of checks that were recovered. We probably had dozens of victims."

Police say the pair would steal identities, make fake checks and then get money from check cashing businesses.

Officers caught the couple this week when they were fighting in front of a convenience store in Provo.
