ZION NATIONAL PARK — The Kolob Canyons Visitor Center will be closed for renovation for approximately two weeks from Jan. 17-31, according to a Zion National Park news release.
The renovation will expand the center and make it more accessible for people with disabilities. It will also incorporate new interpretive and informational displays, including a video about the canyon, the park said.
There will be no entrance fees to the Kolob Canyons area of Zion National Park during the closure. Backcountry permits must be obtained from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center located near Springdale.
The Kolob Canyons scenic drive will remain open during the closure.
