SALT LAKE CITY — Here are 10 stories you may have missed this weekend. As always, click on the headline to read the full story.

1. W. Jordan woman killed in rollover on Mountain View Corridor

A 22-year-old woman was killed early Saturday when the Ford F-150 she was driving rolled on Mountain View Corridor, South Jordan police said. Officers responding to the crash at about 5 a.m. found Mikel Bristol Sorenson, of West Jordan, had been ejected from the truck. She was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

2. Firefighters battle multiple wildfires in Northern Utah

Lone Peak fire crews got the call a little after 4 p.m. Saturday that a brush fire was burning behind some homes at the mouth of American Fork Canyon. As ground crews soaked the houses and fought back the flames, aerial tankers dropped fire retardant and a helicopter ran back and forth to a reservoir to make water drops.

3. Friends, family gather for a concert to remember terrorist victim

Friends and family of Melissa and Kurt Cochran gathered in Bountiful's City Park Saturday to celebrate Kurt's life with a daylong concert. Kurt, who operated a West Bountiful recording studio, was killed in the March terrorist attack in London.

4. Utah family turns grief into purpose by opening ranch to help young girls

Nestled above a neighborhood in Alpine sits a quiet, beautiful ranch with a unique purpose. The idea for the ranch was born during a family's greatest grief — the loss of a child. Sean and Rebecca Covey created the Bridle Up Hope ranch in memory of their daughter Rachel, who died in 2012.

5. 13-year-old rolls truck aunt asked him drive, UHP says

A 13-year-old boy who was asked by his aunt to drive an F-150 pickup from Vernal to Fort Duchesne escaped injury after crashing on state Route 40 Sunday, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

1. Jazz get assists from Baylor, Stockton for latest draft picks

The Jazz made more big moves in the draft this past Thursday, moving up to take Louisville wing Donovan Mitchell at No. 13 (with a little help from Trey Lyles and the Denver Nuggets). They also got a little help from Dennis Lindsey's son and Baylor, as well as NBA Hall of Fame point guard John Stockton.

There are two turning points in Donovan Mitchell's life that led him to the big stage at Barclays Center Thursday night, hearing his name announced by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

3. Former Lone Peak star Jackson drafted by New Orleans Pelicans

Former Lone Peak star Frank Jackson walked up onto the stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, a smile on his face and a Charlotte Hornets hat on his head.

Here he was at the 2017 NBA draft.

4. LaVell Edwards' coaching proteges add to legacy every day

Since Andy Reid left Provo as a BYU offensive lineman (and later, graduate assistant), his football coaching career has taken him to San Francisco, Arizona, Texas, Missouri, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and his current stop with the Kansas City Chiefs.

But he maintains he never strayed far from his principled origins — because of the man who instilled them, BYU coach LaVell Edwards, who died last December at age 86.

5. Cougars to retire No. 6 jersey, and other highlights from BYU football media day

BYU announced Friday as part of its annual media day at the BYU broadcasting building that the program will retire the No. 6 jersey at the Sept. 16 home game against Wisconsin.
