DRAPER — The pilot of a hang glider that crashed near Point of the Mountain managed to flag down rescuers Monday evening.
Another pilot had called authorities about 8 p.m., reporting the man hit the ground and was injured, said Unified Fire Authority spokesman Matthew McFarland.
Crews searching by helicopter were unable to find the victim at first. An aircraft operated by the fire agency was equipped with a rope and helped the medical helicopter pull him up.
McFarland said it was unclear if the caller knew the injured pilot. No other information was available.
