THE GREAT OUTDOORS — While roughing it in one of Utah’s national parks can be a beautiful experience, there’s nothing wrong with adding a little glamour to the weekend getaway every once in awhile.

These 16 unique Airbnb locales offer shelter in or around Utah’s five national parks and stray away from the traditional tent or cabin tradition. And who knows, Utah’s stunning landscape might even look a bit different from inside a yurt or tepee.

Zion National Park ==================

Convertible A-Frame in Zion National Park

Though it doesn’t look like it from the front, this little lean-to opens up in back to reveal a covered patio complete with a bed, kitchen and deck furniture, making stargazing a must. Located 140 feet from the Zion East Rim Trailhead, the Convertible A-frame “brings the outdoors in and the indoors outside.”

Zion Backcountry Yurt

Located 45 minutes from the east entrance of Zion National Park and overlooking the trails of the park, this backcountry yurt can accommodate nine people, making it perfect for a family getaway. The locale includes an indoor kitchen and indoor and outdoor fireplaces.

As the weather grows colder, these sixteen locales offer unique (and perhaps warmer) accommodations and a chance to discover the natural beauty of Utah in an interesting setting.
