GARDEN CITY — The glamping industry has continued to spread in Utah with a Bear Lake resort recently adding a full reception center for weddings and other private events.

The Conestoga Ranch launched in July 2015 near Bear Lake and “combines the tranquility of sleeping outdoors with the convenience, comfort and amenities found at full-service hotels,” according to the website. The resort offers several covered wagon-style tents and full-size glamping tents. Each tent has electricity and beds with linens provided. Some of the more luxurious options include king-size beds, full bathrooms and a mini-fridge.

The high-end glamping resort recently increased its offerings by opening an expansive reception tent on May 13. With 1,700 square feet and 15-foot ceilings, the new “Event Tent” can accommodate up to 100 guests and offers a view of Bear Lake and the surrounding mountains.

“The Event Tent promises to be Bear Lake’s most spectacular private party venue,” Conestoga Ranch owner Tom Hendrick said in a statement. “After our opening last year, many guests inquired about our private function capabilities, so in response to all the interest, we designed the Event Tent to be customizable for a vast range of celebrations and gatherings.”

In addition to the Event Tent, the resort also opened a new "Royal Tent Suite,” the "Joshua Tree," as an area for the bride and groom. It includes a comfortable seating area, a king-size bed and an outdoor area with lounge chairs and a campfire ring.

Renting the new Event Tent costs between $250-$750. Sleeping accommodations at the resort cost between $115-$245. The resort also has an open-air restaurant that includes live music and is open daily until Sept. 11

Location: 427 N. Paradise Parkway, Garden City
