SALT LAKE CITY — Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, really likes Donald Trump's list of potential U.S. Supreme Court nominees, but that hasn't persuaded him to endorse the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

"I've expressed views and concerns about Mr. Trump. A lot of them borne of uncertainty. That hasn't changed," Lee told KSL Newsradio.

Lee was asked on Fox News Radio's "Kilmeade & Friends" whether he could get behind the billionaire businessman if Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., or Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., were to join the Trump ticket.

Corker and Sessions are among those Trump is considering as candidates for vice president.

"Look, I have acknowledged in the past that I have got some concerns, and a lot of people share those concerns, and those things are still there. I will say that I really liked last week the list that he put out with regard to people he might appoint to the Supreme Court of the United States. There were some very good people on that list," Lee said Wednesday.

He called Trump's rundown of potential nominees the "most conservative Supreme Court list I have ever seen from any president, and I was thrilled by that." The senator said he hopes to see more things like that from Trump.

The list includes Lee's brother, Utah Supreme Court Associate Chief Justice Tom Lee, who the senator called a "remarkable legal mind and jurist."

Trump has said he wants to appoint judges in the mold of the deeply conservative Justice Antonin Scalia, who died in February.

Trump last week said he compiled the list based on constitutional principles, with input from "highly respected" conservatives and Republican Party leadership.

In addition to Lee, on the list of federal and state judges are: Steven Colloton, of Iowa; Allison Eid, of Colorado; Raymond Gruender, of Missouri; Thomas Hardiman, of Pennsylvania; Raymond Kethledge and Joan Larsen, both of Michigan; William Pryor, of Alabama; David Stras, of Minnesota; Diane Sykes, of Wisconsin; and Don Willett, of Texas.
