THE FUTURE — Now I don't want to alarm anyone, but the end is at our doorstep. Skynet is about to go live, and its robot technology is way ahead of where we thought it was.

This video captured a robot that is so precise, so accurate and so perfect that it sunk a hole-in-one on a par three.

During the Waste Management Phoenix Open — worst name ever — a robot took a crack at a par three and found nothing but the bottom of the cup. Sure, this looks awesome and all of these clueless humans lose their minds over it, but they're overlooking something — this is the first step to a hostile robot takeover.

These robots are earning our trust by accomplishing humanlike goals. We feel comfortable that this robot is just wanting to shoot a round with its buddies. But what's really happening is it's figuring out how to be better than us in every way, and this is step one.

At this rate the inevitable bear vs. robot showdown to be Earth's overlords is only years away, likely within the next decade.

This is a warning, fellow humans: It's time to get better at golf and it's time to stop high-fiving the robots. Also, bears are scary.

Yesterday's HYST?
