LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Kent Myers threw for one score and rushed for 191 yards and another TD and Utah State beat Colorado State 33-18 Saturday in the Mountain West Conference opener.

Myers was 12 of 21 for 137 yards, including a 42-yard TD pass to Hunter Sharp to tie it at 10. Myers scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 26-yard run and led all rushers on 16 carries.

The Aggies (2-2) led 17-10 at halftime in a game delayed about 45 minutes because of lightning.

Utah State was in the red zone three times in the second half — twice after recovering fumbles — but had to settle for field goals. LaJuan Hunt scored on a 33-yard run in the fourth.

Nick Stevens was 21 of 46 for 252 yards. He threw a 16-yard TD pass to Rashard Higgins and scored on a 15-yard run for the Rams (2-3).
