HOLLYWOOD — The bond between a father and daughter is a special one. Here are three great father daughter movies for you dads to watch to celebrate this bond.
"Despicable Me"
In "Despicable Me," Gru is anything but father material. His main goal in life is to be the world's greatest criminal. When Gru adopts three girls from the local orphanage to help him with one of his devious schemes his lack of a paternal touch is obvious. Over time, though, the girls win over Gru's heart and turn him into a changed man. Throw on "Despicable Me" if your daughter has made you change your ways.
"Dan in Real Life"
In "Dan in Real Life," Dan Burns is an advice columnist that is raising three daughters alone after the death of his wife. While Dan is a doting father who deeply cares for his daughters, he also manages to drive them crazy with his overprotective ways. Turn on "Dan in Real Life" if you are also guilty of overprotecting your daughters.
"Father of the Bride"
In "Father of the Bride," George Banks' life couldn't be better. He's happily married, monetarily successful and overall content. This period of tranquility is quickly over when his daughter, the apple of his eye, announces that she is engaged. Suddenly faced with the task of meeting her fiance and paying exorbitant sums for the wedding, Banks misses the good old days of his daughter as a young girl. Check out "Father of the Bride" if you have just experienced having to let your daughter go.
