TINSELTOWN— The truth is, it's not that hard to buy for most movie lovers: a new Blu-ray box set, an iTunes card, maybe a soundtrack, and they’re good.

But if you’re reading this article, there’s a good chance you know and love a super-movie geek. The kind of movie fan who cracks up when they see the fridge decal of John Cusack holding a boombox, or a “Back to the Future” clock that runs counterclockwise.

That movie lover, while still grateful for the Google Play credit, lights up a room when on the receiving end of something a little different. And to help you share that moment with your favorite film geek this holiday season, we've searched the Web for just that.

Beginning with the cheap, and moving our way to the insanely expensive, here’s our list of creative gifts for your favorite movie lover.

Awesome Mix Vol. 1

($6.99)

“Guardians of the Galaxy” was the surprise hit of the summer, and with it came a great collection of '70s wonderment. Or I guess we should say, an awesome mix of '70s wonderment.

Marty McFly action figure

($9.26)

It's probably more of a stocking stuffer, but still pretty cool. Not only does Marty McFly don his famous life preserver here, but they’ve included a skateboard in case your “Back to the Future” action figure wants to tow behind your favorite Tonka truck.

It's a Mac

($9.99)

Admiral Ackbar has been warning people via Internet memes for as long as Internet memes have been around. Strangely, time hasn’t made his three word catchphrase any less funny, and if you’re a Mac user, you can now celebrate that fact on your favorite MacBook.

6" Baymax

($17.58)

Admit it, it’s super cute. I don’t know what it does, but it looks like a great stand-in for an office decoration or maybe car frill. Baymax was easily the best part of “Big Hero 6,” and now he can be the best part of your car dashboard.

[Darkside T-shirt

This is really just a reminder that any number of T-Shirts are out there, and it’s hard to go wrong with some casual clothing. That said, this might be the finest bacon T-shirt available.

Middle Earth iPhone cover

($19.99)

This is a hyper-geeky piece of art to wrap around your iPhone that only the purest Tolkien fans will understand. And you know, that’s the way Tolkien fans like it. Science, fantasy and creativity in one fine iPhone case.

2014 Movies

($20.00...ish) Let's take a quick break here to throw in some of the memorable titles of 2014. The prices are all over the place but most fall in around $20.00, so we'll drop them in right here:

2014 movies to remember

Flux Capacitor USB charger

($24.99)

It's brilliant and actually useful. Everyone could stand to gain from a usb charger in their car, and everyone wants a flux capacitor.

Wall decal

($34.99)

Even if you don’t find the “Mystery Science Theater 3000” crew all that funny, there’s still something kind of perfect about this home theater wall decal. Eventually, you’re going to watch a bad movie in your favorite cinema room, and when you do, you’ll have fine company to enjoy it with.

"Ghostbusters" print

($35.00)

You really should check out the galleries at Gallery 1988. If you’re looking at decorating a theater room with something cooler than just a bunch of movie posters, this place has you covered. We may even throw in a few more items from the store just to make sure you’re ready to believe us.

"Gone with the Wind" 75th anniversary pack

($35.69)

Let’s call this a stand-in for all movie box sets. But since this is the 75th anniversary of “Gone with the Wind,” it seemed appropriate to make this set our poster child. But really, if you’re movie fan has a favorite film, there’s a high probability there’s a nifty set out there for said movie.

Netflix subscription

($60) Really, this doesn’t have to be $60, but that is an option and this seemed like a perfect place in the article to remind everyone that if you know a movie lover who doesn’t have a Netflix subscription, well, no reason to make things complicated.

Ferris print

($60.00)

Another fine selection from the crew over at Gallery 1988. “Ferris” fans will immediately get the reference, and it’s a great conversation piece starter for those that don’t.

Rocketeer poster

($65.00)

“The Rocketeer” may not be remembered as a perfect movie, but for its time it was a pretty clever superhero movie, and the design is still pretty spectacular. This is a fine compliment to any home theater.

Magic wand remote

($79.99)

While possibly less than practical, Harry Potter fans will get at least minutes of enjoyment from this magic wand remote. The tech behind this gadget is actually pretty interesting and if you do have a room just for movies, why not? You’d only need to memorize one or two spell gestures to get yourself to the right channel or source for your media player.

Mjolnir bookend

($79.99)

Yes, because it looks cool. Why else does anyone buy bookends? And if you think about it, do you ever see Thor reading? No. So it makes perfect sense that he’d rest Mjolnir next to a neatly arranged pile of books.

Lifesize Vigo ============= ($135.00)

Probably only for the passionate “Ghostbusters” fan, an actual sized Vigo replica painting is perfect for any nursery.

Mini fridge

($149.00)

Because if you’re going to own a mini-fridge and you have the option of making said fridge look like a Borg cube, you make said fridge look like a Borg cube. That’s just common sense.

Lifesize Yoda

($321.29)

There are certain things you buy in life for the sole purpose of making yourself feel taller, and while I believe the awesome-factor of Yoda transcends such categorical nonsense, still, standing next to a life-sized Yoda will make you feel taller.

Count Rugen portrait

($600.00)

This is something you hang up in the same room as your other family portraits and when people ask who the portrait is of, you just put your head down and answer, “We don’t like to talk about Uncle Rugen.”

Robin Williams pan costume

($31,450.00)

It seems fitting to have something from Robin Williams on this list, and while the price tag is totally unreasonable, ending this article with a nod to the great comedian seems appropriate. “Hook” fans, now is your chance to get the Peter Pan costume of your dreams.
