SAN FRANCISCO — There’s nothing greater than telling friends and family you’re expecting your first bundle of joy.
Kat and Kris Camilli decided to tell their loved ones by having them pose for a photo. Their stunned reactions to the announcement were compiled into a video montage that’s gone viral.
Instead of using “Say cheese!” to get them to smile, they asked their friends and family to say “Kat’s Pregnant!”
“Why would we say that?” asks Kris’s dad in the video, looking back and forth between Kat and Kris and asks, “Is she?” before happily realizing it's not a joke.
Other people react in happy disbelief. But one of the best reactions is of a young and kind of tired-looking couple holding a baby and a toddler whose 20-second squeal of “Whaaaaat?” seems to convey the message, “You’ll be exhausted, but this is so exciting!”
"I had been looking online for (announcement) ideas, and I had seen a video kind of like this, where they did the '1,2,3, whoever is pregnant," Kat told today.com. "But it was only one surprise, and I thought it would be fun to do a whole bunch of family and friends."
The Camillis have been married for five years and will find out the gender in a few weeks, but don’t have any surprise video plans as of yet.
