SALT LAKE CITY — A man was seriously injured after being stabbed in an attack Wednesday afternoon.

A man was at his residence near 700 West and Jackson Avenue when a strange man and woman riding bikes approached him, demanding property, according to Salt Lake City police. The man refused to comply with their demands and the two began fighting with him.

The man was stabbed in the arm.

Meanwhile, a neighbor saw the struggle and went to help, but was slashed on the hand and on the neck, police said. The neck wound was very serious but not life-threatening, police said. He was able to drive himself to the hospital.

The man and woman fled the scene, police said.

Salt Lake police are looking for the two but only have partial descriptions. They believe the two both had dirty blonde hair and were in their 30s.

Anyone with information can call the Salt Lake Police Department at 801-799-3100 or text TIPSLCPD plus relevant information to 274637.
