SALT LAKE CITY — Two women who claimed to be "agents" while wearing shorts and capri pants allegedly took a man's wallet and car Sunday.
Just before 9 p.m., two women approached two men near 1000 West and 200 South, identified themselves as "agents" and ordered the men to sit on the curb and wait for police arrive, said Salt Lake Police Sgt. Robin Heiden.
The duo allegedly then demanded the victims' wallets and car keys, and drove off in a 2001 blue Toyota Celica, Heiden said.
One woman was described as approximately 30 years old, Hispanic and short, with a heavy build, black hair and last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue capris. The second was a white woman with a thin build, red hair, and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and black shorts.
As of noon Monday, the victim's car was still missing, and detectives had not located the women. It was unclear to police why the men believed the women were really law enforcers.
