SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man they identified as the suspect in two robbery cases.

Marshall James Roberts, 25, allegedly robbed the Health Care Credit Union, located at 769 E. South Temple, on July 25 and Coffee Noir, located at 1035 E. 200 South, on July 20, police said.

A woman, who police have not yet identified, accompanied Roberts during the Coffee Noir robbery.

Roberts is described as a 6-foot-1 white man with a thin build and bushy hair.

Police said no weapon was seen in either robbery, but Roberts indicated he was armed. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Roberts is a heroin addict, according to police, and is said to frequent the homeless shelter area, where he stays in motels. He may be with the woman with whom he robbed Coffee Noir.

Anyone with information pertaining to the robberies or other criminal activity is asked to call the Salt Lake City Police Department at 801-799-3000. Tipsters can remain anonymous by texting keyword TIPSLCPD and any relevant information to 274637. Reference should be made to Coffee Noir or case No. 14-124866.
