SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Latest on a suspended USC football player charged with rape in his home state of Utah (all times local):

9:20 a.m.

A suspended University of Southern California football player accused of raping a woman in his home state of Utah is under order not to contact the alleged victim.

Osa Masina appeared before a judge in Salt Lake City for the first time Friday. Prosecutors say he sexually assaulted the woman after she passed out following a July party.

California prosecutors say they're reviewing additional allegations against 19-year-old man is involving the same woman. Authorities say they've known each other for years.

Defense attorney Greg Skordas says he doesn't expect charges in that case. He says the Masina and the woman have different views of what happened.

Masina is charged with one count of rape and two counts of forcible sodomy. He previously played at Brighton High School in Cottonwood Heights.

A suspended University of Southern California football player charged with rape in Utah is set to make his first court appearance Friday.

Osa Masina is accused of sexually assaulting a woman after she passed out following a July party in a Salt Lake City suburb.

Authorities say the 19-year-old man is also the focus of a sexual-assault investigation in California involving the same woman.

Masina posted $250,000 bail after his Sept. 15 arrest. He is charged with one count of rape and two counts of forcible sodomy.

Masina's attorney Greg Skordas has said the sexual activity was consensual and that his client's version of events is quite different than the woman's.

Masina is a Utah native who played at Brighton High School in Cottonwood Heights.
