GROSSE ILE, Mich. (AP) — A third teenager has been charged in the killing of a guinea pig before a Detroit-area high school lacrosse game.
The boy was 16 at the time, and his case will be handled in juvenile court. As a result, his name wasn't released.
Police say a guinea pig was killed in April in front of members of the Grosse Ile (EEL) lacrosse team. Two members of the team, who have graduated, were charged with felonies last week.
A judge said Tuesday that Tanner Coolsaet and Michael Roth must have no contact with animals, except family pets.
The school's lacrosse season was suspended after the incident.
