BELLEVUE, Neb. (AP) — An eastern Nebraska city administrator has been charged with various misdemeanors for a disturbance at a local dental office.

Bellevue City Administrator Dan Berlowitz was ticketed on the counts on June 21 following the disturbance that morning at Allan Smith Dental in Bellevue, where Berlowitz's wife used to work.

A police report says Berlowitz poked a dentist in the chest and then pushed the dentist's shoulder.

Berlowitz has since been charged with trespassing, disturbing the peace and third-degree assault, all misdemeanors. His arraignment has been set for July 27 in Sarpy County.

Berlowitz has been placed on administrative leave. A phone number for Berlowitz could not be found Tuesday.
