Authorities say divers found two bodies and the wreckage of one plane during their search for wreckage of a midair collision off Southern California.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Capt. Jack Ewell says the victims and the plane were found about 105 feet below surface, in an area about 2 miles off Los Angeles Harbor on Sunday.

He said the victims will be identified by coroner's investigators.

7:15 p.m.

Divers searching the water off Southern California have found human remains from the wreckage of a midair collision involving two small planes.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Juanita Navarro said they made the discovery about 2 miles off the Port of Los Angeles on the third day of the search on Sunday.

She said investigators from the coroner's office will try to identify the remains.

A massive search was launched Friday after a plane piloted by a 72-year-old woman was seen on radar colliding with a craft carrying men ages 61 and 81 off San Pedro, just outside Los Angeles Harbor.

The woman was identified as Mary Falstrom by her husband.
