SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — A 30-year-old Sparks man who allegedly led police on a car chase after an armed robbery has been arrested and booked on suspicion of eight charges, including auto theft and robbery with a deadly weapon.

Slater Yohey is accused of robbing individuals at gunpoint and stealing their blue Ford escort in the 1400 block of East Ninth Street about 1:15 a.m. Monday.

Police say Yohey led Reno and Sparks officers on a chase before he crashed the car at Prater Way and Keitzke Lane. He fled on foot but eventually was captured by Nevada state troopers.

He was being held Monday in the Washoe County Jail, where his bail was set at more than $127,000. Other charges include false imprisonment, eluding officers and possession of a controlled substance.
