TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Can't afford to send your kids to summer camp? Too hot to play camp games outside all day? Florida health officials have a solution. They're hosting an online summer camp for kids to promote exercise, good eating habits and other healthy behaviors.

The Florida Department of Health's free virtual summer camp takes place Aug. 1-7, 2015 through the Florida Department of Health's Facebook and Twitter accounts and is geared toward elementary to middle-school-aged children.

Individuals will learn how to choose activities that will keep them physically fit, how to choose healthy and delicious meals and snacks, explore the great outdoors, practice first aid and plan for emergencies.
