AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — The Air Force Academy has unveiled a new sculpture to honor its 33 graduates who have been held as prisoners of war.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports the names of the graduates are displayed on the memorial, which sits near Doolittle Hall. Nineteen POWs attended events Thursday and Friday to acknowledge their sacrifices, as did family members of living and deceased Air Force Academy POWs.

All 33 graduates who were POWs were held in Southeast Asia.
