LAS VEGAS (AP) — A fugitive wanted on an attempted murder charge in Utah has been arrested in Las Vegas.
Officials said 26-year-old Stacey Renod Wesley was arrested Friday by U.S. Marshals in Las Vegas after discovering his location near West Tropicana Avenue and South Valley View Boulevard.
A warrant for Wesley's arrest was issued in September after an apparent failure to appear at a hearing in Salt Lake City for an attempted murder charge from 2012.
Authorities accused Wesley of firing a handgun into multiple homes to target a victim believed to be staying there in Nov. 2012.
Wesley is now being held at the Clark County jail pending extradition to Utah.
