NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a New York City man has been arrested at Kennedy International Airport after TSA agents found handgun parts hidden in his luggage.
Port Authority Police Department spokesman Joe Pentangelo says that Oscar Ramirez was arrested Wednesday attempting to board a plane to Mexico City.
Pentangelo says agents found pieces of a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun hidden inside a PlayStation 2 game and alongside a tripod in the 48-year-old Brooklyn man's luggage.
The spokesman says parts of the handgun found in the videogame were discovered as Ramirez passed through security in Terminal One. He says the game was labeled as Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots.
Attorney information for Ramirez wasn't immediately available.
