RENO, Nev. (AP) — A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in connection with a deadly Reno accident this week.

Police say a 21-year-old woman died after a car in which she was a passenger was struck by a speeding car at an intersection late Wednesday night.

The woman had to be extricated from the vehicle and was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. Her name was not immediately released.

Police say 19-year-old Alexander Tivis of Reno was booked into the Washoe County jail on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol causing death.

Tivis earlier was treated for a non-life threatening injury at a hospital along with a female passenger in his car and the driver of the other car.
