LEBANON, N.H. (AP) — Franklin Pierce University has set up a tuition discount and credit transfer package for students at Lebanon College, which recently canceled its classes for the fall semester.

Based in Rindge, Franklin Pierce University also has a location in Lebanon, where interested students can attend an open house Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Franklin Pierce officials say their online and hybrid undergraduate programs can provide ready alternatives to displaced students.

Lebanon College officials canceled classes last month, saying it was the first step toward closing the college, which faces about $2.2 million in debt and declining enrollment.
