COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi University for Women will host its first August graduation on Saturday.
Traditionally, MUW has had two graduation ceremonies: one in May and one in December.
MUW officials say in a news release that the third ceremony was added to accommodate family and friends of the graduates.
About 150 students are expected to walk in the Aug. 2 ceremony. MUW says 422 students will receive their degrees.
Kaye Bender, president and chief executive officer of the Public Health Accreditation Board, will serve as the ceremony's keynote speaker.
Graduation will be held at 10 a.m. in Rent Auditorium on the MUW campus in Columbus.
