HOUGHTON LAKE, Mich. (AP) — The Michigan State Waterways Commission will discuss awarding grant applications and suggested modifications to its grant process during a meeting at Houghton Lake.
The meeting will be held Friday at Comfort Suites Hotel.
The commission is an advisory group that deals with public boating opportunities. Among them are acquisition, construction and maintenance of recreational harbors, channels, docking and launching facilities; administration of commercial docks in the Straits of Mackinac; and advice on regulations and grant funding for the Great Lakes Harbors of Refuge.
