"When I was diagnosed, it was so difficult to find good, current

information about stomach cancer. It's a complex disease, so we

educate physicians, patients, their families, and caregivers about the

disease," said Debbie Zelman, President and Founder of Debbie's Dream

Foundation. "We're thankful to have such a distinguished group of

experts together to participate in this incredibly successful program

and terrific volunteers who put together this free unparalleled

event."

All patients, families, caregivers, the general public, and health

care professionals are invited to attend the symposium for free.

Pre-registration is required to attend in person or via webcast. To

register online, visit www.DebbiesDream.org/portal/Symposium or call

(954) 475-1200. Stomach cancer is the fourth most common cancer

worldwide and the second leading cancer killer. Approximately 21,000

people are diagnosed with stomach cancer in the United States every

year and 10,000 will die within the same year.

Debbie Zelman founded the organization in 2009 after being diagnosed

with Stage IV stomach cancer. Debbie's Dream Foundation seeks as its

ultimate goal to bring attention and action to this important cause.

The organization encourages people to spread the word about early

detection and screening because if someone is diagnosed at an early

stage, the chances of being cured increase dramatically.

Debbie's Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer (DDF) was founded by

Debbie Zelman in 2009 after she was diagnosed with stage IV stomach

cancer in 2008. DDF is the leading 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

dedicated to raising awareness about stomach cancer, advancing funding

for research, and providing education and support internationally to

patients, families, and caregivers. Debbie's Dream Foundation seeks

as its ultimate goal to make the cure for stomach cancer a reality.
