GUNBARREL, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say there are still no suspects or motives after as many as three dogs were suspected of eating poisoned meatballs at a Gunbarrel park this week.
Animal control specialist Sara Spensieri says she may know more once the Colorado Bureau of Investigation releases the results of a human DNA test it's conducting this week on two of the meatballs. Those findings are expected to be available by the end of this week.
The Boulder Daily Camera reports (http://tinyurl.com/q826xvp) authorities have recovered eight meatballs laced with rat poison from the park since Monday.
Veterinarians are monitoring the three dogs.
