A man fled after he robbed a West Jordan Chevron, forcing the clerk to the ground and taking off with items. The incident at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at 7000 South and 1300 West. Police said the clerk was not seriously injured in the assault.

One man was critically injured in an early Sunday morning accident. The Utah Highway Patrol said the truck driven by Robert Feland, 37, went out of control on the ramp to I-15 at 600 North. The truck crashed into a concrete sound wall.

A man who escaped from a Duchesne County sheriff's patrol vehicle following his arrest early Sunday for investigation of DUI is back in custody after he was found hiding in a rancher's shed, authorities said.
