LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — More than three dozen WyoTech-Laramie employees are looking for work after the for-profit school laid them off.
The Laramie Boomerang reports (http://bit.ly/1F1VFne) the move cuts staff by 30 percent as student enrollment wanes. Campus president Guy Warpness could not be reached for comment last week.
Zenith Education Group bought WyoTech-Laramie in February, along with two other WyoTech schools that had been owned by Corinthian Colleges and 53 Everest campuses.
Spokeswoman Krissy Humenesky says enrollment at the school has dropped to 500 students and had been on the decline even before the ownership change.
Corinthian Colleges closed 28 campuses last week, including WyoTech schools in California, Arizona and New York.
