etc,anyone who serves in the military is a hero. Say something like that to a Marine's, SEAL, or any ones face who goes to war. We are all brothers especially when it comes to combat. A comment like yous shows how ignorant you really are.

I def think this was a huge oversight on SLCPD part I hope proper disciplinary action is taken on the the officers that messed up, that is just too big of a mistake make in law enforcement. I certainly don't blame the entire SLCPD either a lot of those officers have proven themselves to be great officers time and time again. They have a lot on their plate on daily basis, and I thank them for the work they do. Being a cop is a thank less job they can't win if they do good or bad in some ppl's eyes. Actually that pervert cop was a off duty Ogden cop. Oh SLCPD was featured a few years ago on COPS chasing a suspect on foot and the their dog found him hiding in someone's garage, (in Glendale) and the WVCPD, and UHP was featured in "Worlds Scariest Police Shoot Outs" when a Mexican guy was holding his wife hostage on Bangerter Hwy, oh and there was another one in Duchesne County on the same show when a man led cops on a high speed chase, decided to have a gun fight and tried to steel one of their trucks, (both suspects were killed thankfully) and I'm sure there is a few more. I agree with I Luv Chuck O Rama do your research before spouting your suck.

That is really frustrating, I can relate I've had a few of my cars broken into over the years. Replacing the windows were getting pretty expensive for a while and car alarms are worthless at times. What can you do though? Just get over it and move on I guess

What a beautiful family, I can't imagine the pain and heart ache they must be going through. I'm so deeply sorry for their loss God bless you all and I hope in time they can find peace in all this. I also want to add what a class act this family is, for them to say they don't want charges filed against the person that more than likely caused this tragic accident. I envy their strength

Charles I couldn't agree more with you(where is the heck yes vote). Mild to moderate corporal punishment is a very effective way of discipline. I don't think spanking your kid every time he/she misbehaves is very effective, but in extreme circumstances such as running in the street or using profanity towards elders def deserves a paddle to the behind, or a smack in the face. I'll never forget when I ran into the street while my mom was carrying something from the car, she snatched me up and put a whoopin to my butt and I NEVER did that again. I was put into my room and after a while she came in and talked to me and explained why I got a spanking and explained why it's so dangerous to go into the street. I remember getting my hands slapped every now and then for sassing off at the teacher in private school. You know what that did? It taught me to respect my elders, it taught me why it's important not to do certain things that could harm me, etc. I answered my elders yes sir and no mam, still do to this day. I think a good balance of discipline involves communication, love, and in some cases a little foot to butt. I'm sure this teacher was showing this kid to be respectful.I see kids now a days and wonder what the h### happened, I've seen young children in the store yelling f### you to their parents and running wild and they don't do jack crap about it. I can promise you my son will NEVER act like that and if he decides to mouth off and be disrespectful towards his teachers they have my permission to paddle his butt and put him in a time out.
