and there are plenty of professors who go off about non-chrisians and liberals too who make ME upset for no reason. It's offensive and it shouldn't be tolerated by students or anyone else. MrDissident...do you not think they move past it as if it's not there because they are used to it? Do you not think it bothered them before they made that decision to just ignore it? My black significant other laughs when he's stopped for no reason only to be searched and interrogated, etc. etc. etc. He laughs and shrugs it off because he's used to it and he doesn't want to cause any waves. My children are also bi-racial...they are still young though. Hopefully times have changed enough though that by the time they are grown, they won't have to "get used to it".

how is that uncivil? I know I didn't like professors who were biased to the right, anti-atheist, anti-gay. I didn't like them at all, and I would have rated them the worst, most incompetent professors of all time. Just terrible.

Rhone..I have yet to see the tea partiers speak out against republicans. There little conventions consist of nothing but attacks on Obama and democrats. They have called Obama every name in the book..many don't even beleive that he's a US citizen, and that one tea party leader in Texas that was running for office couldnt' even answer point blank if she believed 9/11 to be a gov't conspiracy. I watched Sarah Palin speak on Fox News at their little convention..I watched Fox News coverage about it so don't try to sit here and say that the "bias" media is telling us lies. Fox News wants to portray the tea partiers in the most favorable light possible and even they couldn't do it. Don't try to play us by telling us you are against spending on both sides of the aisle. I will only believe it when I see them trying to recall a republican big spender..and there are PLENTY OF THOSE!
