Great idea? Why does it even matter? I wouldn't think that Utah would be too proud of it's STATE own liquor stores considering many of the politicians claim they are for small government and anti-socialist.
So cut it more? Not understanding your logic here. So what is too low for you? 40, 30, 20 or 10 percentile?
Cash for clunkers was a stimulus program to increase car sales not to reduce gas consumption by any substantial amount.
all this talk about big government and too much spending.. Hatch should live by his words and not waste federal dollars and time to regulate collage football
How is it any different than a smoking tax? We seam to like those in our state. Lottery is a tax on those who are bad at math. So tax them and pay for the education of future generations. Just like we tax smokers claiming it cost us money as a state, lets tax the uneducated with a lottery also because it cost us as a state too.
Define [doing] it. Really, we spend less per a student than any other state as it is and our test scores are far from the top. Yeah, education can be provided but statistics show you pay for what you get. Cutting cost now has what kind of long term affect for our state? How many future leaders are we eliminating? If you look at developed and non-developed countries you will see the big difference is education.
