There's a reason polygraphs aren't admissible in court as evidence. It's not difficult to get around one if you know what you're doing...or if you're a psychopath.
WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO Good job to our boys-n-girls in the US military, and their partners in the country! Keep it up guys, we are so grateful and proud of your service!
Now let's get OSAMA...may he get exactly what he deserves!
Nice job SSLPD and marshals...glad you took down another scum sucking waste of oxygen!
What's going to be funny is when Josh tries to remarry. You can't get a marriage license when you're already married. Watch him try to explain that one..."no, she's dead...I mean, um, nevermind..."
And FYI for you people that are slamming the cops, you need to realize there's only so much they can legally do. Josh has invoked his legal right to remain silent. The rules are there to protect all of us from too much government power. The cops have no choice but to operate within those rules, or the bad guy gets a get-out-of-jail-free card. Do you really want that to happen?
Give it time, there's a whole lot more to this case than you can see or than has been released in the media. It takes time to put a case together and time to process evidence and time to test it and get the results. Yes, it's frustrating, but it's even more frustrating when the bad guy walks because someone cut corners.
Give the cops a break and put the blame for Josh's silence where it belongs, on Josh, not on the cops.
Josh Powell has a lawyer and has declined to answer police questions. There is nothing legal the cops can do to "get him to talk."
It's frustrating but put the blame for that where it belongs--on Josh Powell, not on the cops, who have no choice but to follow the rules.
Do you know if they violate the rules, the bad guy walks? Boom, get out of jail free card. Do you really want that to happen?
Just guessing, but I'm betting if the headline read "Utah police department charged with brutality for harsh interrogation practices" you would be griping about "the way the PD has handled" that hypothetical case, too.
The cops have a zillion rules that they have to operate inside, and while it makes us all feel better to gripe and grumble when something awful happens, if you were a cop you'd have to follow those exact same rules.
