There is no excuse for slipping into a manhole.
Why do you reserve this special treatment only for the legal profession. Why not give the voters power to approve ALL appointments to the various government agencies as well as dispute resolution and discipline for all licensed professions? Why do attorneys and judges merit such love and attention from you?
The rate of change? Can you show me proof that the current "rate of change", in the opinion of the scientists promoting it, is unprecedented? That never in the history of the Earth has change happened so fast (assuming the current opinion is in fact correct)? As for mass extinction, are humans also to blame for the other mass extinctions believed to have taken place on this planet? To believe that (1) we are causing any measurable change and (2) that we can stop the changes taking place is arrogant and reckless. Money and resources will be wasted in this futile attempt to pander to a few fragile egos, Gore included, and in the end, whatever happens will happen and we will adapt and move on. Now I'm also for energy independence. But you can't expect to stop the use of fossil fuels cold turkey. When there is a viable, economical, profitable alternative source, the change will be made. Until then, we can and should continue to develop the resources we have, here at home, to at least reduce our dependence on sources from other countries.
You are assuming he really did that.
20 to life? For what? What crime can you point to that would justify that sentence? Based on what has been revealed by the only two people who were present, the worst thing he did that night was lewdness with a minor, or perhaps sexual abuse of a minor. Both are misdemeanors punishable by no more that 1 year in jail, and that is only if the statute of limitations had not expired two years after the incident occurred.
I wouldn't call your opinion factual, accurate, knowledgeable or well informed. I would call it biased, angry, vengeful and yes, ignorant. I'm still waiting for the proof that was asked for by Mr. Dissident. It's really hard to take you seriously when your contempt so fully permeates everything you say.
