UINTAH-OURAY INDIAN RESERVATION — A 19-year-old man has been arrested and booked into the Duchesne County Jail for investigation of homicide.

Deland Anston Cornpeach was being held Friday for the Bureau of Indian Affairs police as part of a homicide investigation.

Details about what led to Cornpeach's arrest were not available. However, the FBI and the Bureau of Indian Affairs confirmed Thursday they were investigating a possible murder on the Uintah-Ouray Indian Reservation that happened June 20.

Cornpeach was being held in connection with the death of Eli Ray Poowegup, 38, the FBI confirmed.
